While I’m a little disappointed that I wasn’t able to find one of these at last weekend’s Motorcycle Show, I do have to say that the variety that was on hand was most impressive. But enough about last week, let’s see what’s on tap for this week!

HOMEXPO and Guns N’ Roses highlight the week ahead at Stampede Park, and are just some of the things that are happening here in the next seven days.

HOMEXPO 2010, Calgary’s home, renovation, and décor show will be at the BMO Centre from Friday, Jan. 15 to Sunday, Jan 17. The largest show of its kind in Western Canada, this year features Sarah Richardson, host of Sarah’s House on HGTV, presenting interior/exterior products and design with ‘Olympic’ possibilities. Admission information can be found at HOMEXPO’s website.

American rock band Guns N’ Roses will be visiting Calgary this week as part of their Chinese Democracy World Tour, and will be playing at the Pengrowth Saddledome on Saturday, Jan. 16. Show time is at 8 p.m. and tickets for the concert are available through Ticketmaster.

The NHL’s Calgary Flames play three times this week at the Saddledome as they try to maintain their lead in the NW Division. They face the Colorado Avalanche on Monday, Jan. 11 at 8 p.m. followed by the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 7:30 p.m. and the Nashville Predators on Friday, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. Tickets for all three games are available through Ticketmaster.

Finally, the WHL’s Calgary Hitmen play the Kootenay Ice on Sunday, Jan. 17 at the Saddledome, and tickets for this game are available through Ticketmaster.

Those are just some of the things happening on Park in the next seven days. Tune into the Stampede Blog next week to see more of the things happening Here. All Year.
