I am a big fan of Heartland, the last episode I watched showed barrel racing. Were you the stunt double. How much riding do you do on that show?

Hi Barbara!
Thanks for writing! Heartland is a very fun show to watch, and even more fun to work on! I was in that episode, not as a barrel racer, but as a riding double for Lou during the "Rodeo Princess Competition". This one was really fun to do because it was right before we started the Stampede Princess Competition, so I guess it was good luck! Princess Tara was also in that episode, and if you look close, you can see her giving up her crown! I mostly work as a wrangler on the show, so getting on camera is always a treat!
I hope that I can meet you at the 2009 Calgary Stampede! See you there!
Happy Trails,
Kateri

Nikkole, I have to start off by saying how very proud we are of you and your courage to run, let alone win the title of CS Indian Princess 2009. I know it is going to be an amazing year for you and I hope to follow the blog on some of your adventures, traveling and being an ambassador. I want to encourage you in your job as a support worker, I'm also glad to hear you are following my path to continue your education in social work. For now, best of luck and you will do an awesome job representing yourself and the CS and will do us all proud.

Hello Ed, I enjoyed reading your entry. My hubby and I were part of a tour group enjoying the Calgary Stampede (first time for us!), and we were at the final night of the Chuckwagon Races. Wow! What a night! I had never heard of Joe Carbury, and even I was crying when he was honored. He does have a special place, obviously, in the hearts of Chuckwagon Race fans. We'll remember fondly our trip to the Calgary Stampede and the Chuckwagon Races!
Best wishes,
Nancy Cullinan

I’m an international student.
Yesterday, I went to Stampede for the first time. It was awsome!!!
I hadn’t been interested in rodeo, but I was very excited!!!!
I would like to watch it again someday.

Nice to see your interested in the ground conditions, we have to keep those rodeo queens safe. It's interesting to hear what dynamics you face each day!!
