2007 Chuckwagon Canvas Auction shatters record!
The 2007 Calgary Stampede’s Canvas Auction has shattered last year’s record, setting a new record of $4,003,500 for this year’s 36 chuckwagon drivers. Chuckwagon veteran and fan favourite, Kelly Sutherland, earned the highest bid and the new record of $205,000 from The Hear Now Inc.
The auction was held April 19, 2007 at 5:00pm. Money raised goes towards feed, horses, travel, and all the costs necessary to go down the chuckwagon road. Our cowboys welcome the support; it can help make or break the racing season for a cowboy.
Individuals, businesses and pooled groups are welcome to participate at the canvas auction.
