A Stove off ground 2 seconds
B Pole off ground, each pole 1 second
C Fly not stretched 1 second
D Any assistance to driver after start of race 2 seconds
E Outrider not continuing straight ahead at sound of horn Discretion of Judge
F Outrider interfering with other contestants Discretion of Judge
G Any assistance to an outrider horse Discretion of Judge
H Outrider failing to follow the proper figure 8 pattern 1 second
I Outrider knocking over barrel, each barrel 2 seconds
J Outrider missing barrel, each barrel 2 seconds
K Pole or fly left dragging, if a pole or fly is knocked or thrown out at any time after it has been loaded in the wagon, no penalty will be assessed. 1 second per pole or fly
L Driver or Outrider forcing an apparently injured horse 2 seconds + Discretion of Judge
M Outrider finishing ahead of lead team 2 seconds
N Late outrider 1 second
O Outrider failing to finish race 2 seconds

Wagons
AA Any driver failing to cooperate with starter 2 seconds
BB Wagon going through another barrel position to line up 2 seconds
CC Wagon on Barrel #4 failing to allow access to Barrel #3 for wagon and outriders Discretion of Judge
DD False start, or creating a false start 1 second
EE Wagon starting ahead of horn 2 seconds
FF Wagon ahead of barrel 1 second
GG Driver loading poles or fly 3 seconds
HH Stove must be loaded in rack before wagon completes top barrel turn; if the stove is knocked or thrown out at any time after it has been loaded in the rack, no penalty will be assessed. 4 seconds
II Wagon failing to follow the proper figure 8 pattern 5 seconds
JJ Wagon knocking over barrel, each barrel 5 seconds
KK Wagon missing barrel, each barrel 10 seconds
LL Out of lane wagon 1 second + Discretion of Judge
MM For whipping with ends of lines or any substitute 2 seconds
NN Wagon interference 1 second + Discretion of Judge
OO Wagon interference with outrider(s) Discretion of Judge
PP Driver interfering with another wagon during or after finish of race will be penalized a minimum of * 1 second + Discretion of Judge
