Calgary Stampede Parade Day - Friday, July 3, 2009
Prelude entertainment begins at 7:30 a.m. and the main Parade begins at 8:55 a.m.
The Calgary Stampede Parade, the world's largest western-themed parade, features horses ranging from miniature to extra-large along with colourful floats, celebrity appearances and marching bands from around the globe. Don't miss this chance to join family, friends and thousands of other Calgary Stampede parade viewers to practice your "yahoos" along the parade route!

WESTERN WELCOMES
From Wednesday July 1 to Thursday July 9, the colour and excitement of the Calgary Stampede begins the moment passengers arrive at the Calgary International Airport. Promotion Committee volunteers welcome visitors to Calgary with a Stampede greeting, an invitation to visit the Calgary Stampede, daily event information and lots of country music and entertainment.
COMMUNITY WESTERN SPIRIT
New for 2009, the Calgary Stampede will be traveling about the city scouting for groups or businesses that have decorated in a western theme. Businesses selected for recognition will receive a plaque thanking them for their participation in continuing the western spirit of the Calgary Stampede.
HARRY THE HORSE
Harry the Horse, the official mascot and ambassador of the Calgary Stampede, is a common sight in and around Calgary throughout the 10 days. You will find him meeting, greeting and delighting children of all ages.
Stampede Caravan Breakfasts
Enjoy an authentic cowboy breakfast! Take the family down to one of the many Stampede Caravan locations and enjoy a free pancake breakfast. There's tons of entertainment and activities for the whole family.

Stampede Royalty
The Royal Trio are goodwill ambassadors of the Calgary Stampede and reign over The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.
As official representatives of the Calgary Stampede and the city of Calgary, the Stampede Queen and Princesses make over 400 appearances in an exciting year of their reign.

Go Downtown
Before you make you way to the park, head to the heart of the city and rustle up some breakfast. At Rope Square you'll enjoy an authentic pancake breakfast straight from the back of a chuckwagon. Remember, breakfast starts at 8:15 am and all the entertainment and activities are free!
