Visit Hall A in the Roundup Centre and experience summer indoors at ‘The Beach’.  Back after a very successful year in 2006, the beach offers shopping, model searches, a massive sandcastle exhibit, video games, and much more.

Amazing Sand

Peter Vogelaar and the 2007 World Champion sand sculptors from Amazing Sand bring their talents back to The Beach this year.  Watch as the story unfolds...come by and check their progress throughout the day and feel free to ask questions as they share their gravity-defying secrets with the crowd.

Mode Models are back celebrating their 20th anniversary with a summer twist on the latest beach fashions. Evening shows alternate between fashion shows and model searches, so make sure to come by the Mode Models booth in Hall A for your chance to become Calgary’s next top model! Also just for kids, there will be a special kids model search on BMO Bank of Montreal Kids’ Day - July 11 at 11:00 am for children between 5 and 12 years.

TW Dance Productions

Make sure to check out the runway each day for a high energy, edgy, hip-hop dance show brought to you by TW Dance productions.  The show will alternate with Mode Models fashion shows and will feature the latest choreography, costumes and music.

Artisan Graffiti Display-David Brunning

Local artist, David “thekidbelo” Brunning has created over 160 square feet of colorful, vibrant graffiti art just for The Beach.  Come view this exciting display, as well as chat with the artist and get a glimpse of some of his other works.
