Watch daily performances (and sample the gourmet delights) by well known local chefs on the ATCO Kitchen Theatre Stage. See Artists working on new pieces and craft demonstrations. WESTERN ART SALES SALON

The Western Art Sales Salon offers a unique opportunity for guests to meet and purchase art directly from the artists. This year more than 50 artists will be participating.

NEW Hall of Fame.  This year the Western Art Show will introduce the creation of the Western Art Show Hall of Fame which will serve to honor those artists whose work and participation have had a significant impact on the continued success of the show over the last 27 years. More..

ARTISANS

This year 11 artisans will be part of the Western Art Show. They work in diverse mediums such as wood, metals, leather, glass and ceramics, sometimes combining a number of these different elements to create exciting works of art.  More…

This year 29 artists are selected to exhibit some of the finest western art available. Here new, emerging and established artists exhibit their work and offer patrons the opportunity to acquire pieces throughout the duration of the Stampede.

NEW Tribute to Canada's Rodeo couple
Arnold Haraga, the 1970 Canadian All-Around Champion and Steer Wrestling Champion who became a noted sculptor of rodeo bronzes, producing 10 years of Rodeo Trophy bronzes for the Calgary Stampede. Isabella Miller Haraga who is praised with pioneering professional female rodeo in Canada and co-founder the Canadian Girls Rodeo Association. Isabella "Isy" is a two-time Canadian Champion barrel racer wining in 1960 and 1969. In 2005, "Isy" became only the second woman ever inducted into the Canadian Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame. more...

WESTERN PHOTO GALLERY

Western Photo Gallery consists of two areas: the Photo Gallery and Photo Competition. The Gallery sells framed or unframed limited edition prints and will feature over 100 fine art prints. The Photo Competition will see entrants submit up to five digital images, which will be set to music and will be featured in a 25 minute show in the Photo Theatre. Winners in each category are invited to submit their images for sale in the Gallery. More…

WESTERN LIFESTYLES

CREATIVE ARTS & CRAFTS

Creative Arts and Crafts display the best of the judged arts and crafts entered in the competition along with the prize winning cakes. Entries are also accepted for The Women’s Shelter. More…
The Art of the Western Boot is returning. This is a juried competition with the best entries on display in the Arts and Crafts area.  The winner will be chosen by a People Choice Ballot and will be given a $200 cash prize.

NEW “Celebrate the Quilt” invites entrants from past years to submit their quilts for display and the chance to win the People’s Choice Award.

MAKE IT AND TAKE IT

Visitors are welcome to learn a new craft and take their project home with them. Children love to participate in this area. more...
