The Stampede Parade is an exciting kick-off to ten days of good ol’ fashioned western fun. Led by our own World Champion Calgary Stampede Showband, the parade showcases floats, bands, riders, cultural entries, and many more! The 2012 Parade will be held on Friday, July 6th. Reserve your parade seat in advance!

To preserve the Stampede tradition of providing a free parade to our neighbours, the City of Calgary has agreed to limit paid bleacher seating for the Stampede Parade to less than 20% of the 4.5 km parade route. This listing of those selling seating is provided as a service to you, in response to your email requests.

Seating for the Calgary Stampede Parade can be reserved through an independent provider or through the following non-profit organizations:

Calgary Stampede Parade seating

Seating U is the seating partner for Stampede guests.The location of the Parade Seats are in various sections along the route and goes from Centre Street to 10th St. W. on 6th Ave and then from 10th St. W. to Centre St. on 9th Ave.

31st St. Cyprian Scout Group

The 31st St. Cyprian Scout Group offers bleacher seating for the Stampede Parade. This is done as a fundraiser to help our youth pursue their scouting activities.

Location is the South side of 9th Avenue between 5th and 6th Street SW. Tickets are $27 each, no GST. Payment options are Visa, MasterCard, cheque or cash.

Rotary Club of Calgary West 

RCCW is proud to offer a delicious stampede breakfast and parade seating with a great view from every seat for the low cost of $40.00 per person.

Rotary Club of Calgary Centennial

The members of the Centennial Club are hosting stadium style bleacher seats on the North side of 9th Avenue SW, just immediately east of Centre Street, in front of the Calgary Tower.

Price: $30.00 CAD per seat (including beverage and pastry).

Net proceeds from the sale of the parade seats will be allocated to various Rotary charities.

2011 Parade Marshal

The Calgary Stampede is honoured to announce that respected humanitarian and Canadian icon Rick Hansen has been chosen as 2011 Calgary Stampede Parade Marshal.

In 1985, Hansen drew the admiration of the world as he began his legendary Man In Motion Tour, a two-year odyssey that saw him travel around the world raising awareness and funds for Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) research.

Over the past 25 years, Rick Hansen’s foundation has raised more than $200 million to help make a difference in the lives of millions of people worldwide.

PARADE ROUTE

The Parade route starts at Macleod Trail and 6th Avenue S.E. and moves West to 10th Street, S.W. Along 10th Street to 9th Avenue, and finally East to 4th Street, S.E. The Parade takes approximately 2 hours to pass by any one point along the route. Be sure to see 150 of the most elaborate representations of Western style as they move through the streets of downtown Calgary.
