Tickets for the 2009 Calgary Stampede go on sale October 6, 2008.

There’s more to the Calgary Stampede than the rodeo and rides. Stroll around the park and take in some of the flavour of the West with displays, attractions and events that entertain and educate.

Weadickville

West of the Coca-Cola Stage & North of the Big Four Building, you’ll find a re-creation of a Calgary street circa 1912. It’s a cool and comfortable place to relax and find some of the best values on Stampede Park.

BLACKSMITH SHOP – MYSTIC FORGE

Mystic Forge is a traditional working blacksmith’s shop selling ‘steely creativity’ in ironwork such as candle holders and other household items.

MAPLE LEAF MEAT MARKET

Everyone’s favourite hot dogs at special Weadickville prices, along with submarines and other assorted sandwiches.

GENERAL STORE

The Husky General Store offers old-fashioned value prices on Coca-Cola products.

ENTERTAINMENT

The Rodeo Riders and the adorable Keister Family Fiddlers will entertain you with their toe-tapping country tunes at various times each day of Stampede. While enjoying the music, why not have your photo taken with western gun slingers Doc, Snake-Eye or Stringbean?

ICE CREAM PARLOUR

It will be another great year at the Breyers Ice Cream Parlour. They’ll be scooping their "Classic" lines of ice cream.

NEWSPAPER

Be sure to visit the Calgary Herald's interactive news location in Weadickville. Then pick up your copy of the Calgary Herald for exclusive daily coverage of The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.

BAKED GOODS

Fresh baked products - cookies, strudels, and fresh sausage rolls - are offered daily at the Weston Bakery.

QUÉBEC 400

INDIAN VILLAGE

Experience the colourful heritage of the Treaty 7 First Nations in a beautiful park setting. Catch native dance, games, meat cutting competitions and much more. Native interpreters are on-hand to provide information and commentary about their culture to visitors on an ongoing basis. Guided tours of the Village are available.

The GetAway

Visit Hall A in the Big Four Building and Get Away! The GetAway offers interactive hockey activities and exhibits, fashion shows, model searches, high energy dance performances, video games and tournaments, and much more. You are sure to find something for the entire family in The GetAway.

The Stampede Oasis

Come join us at the Stampede’s newest indoor green space: The Stampede Oasis. Take a walk through the lush indoor park, or kick up your boots and relax on one of the many benches near our calming water feature. Park and water feature creation by Waterworks Ponds and Nature Indoors.

WESTERN SHOWCASE

From gourmet cooking to cowboy poetry; from Western Art to Western Lifestyle, if it’s Western, it’s on display at the Western Showcase.

BUCKAROOS

A great place for kids. Ever taken a cruise on a plasma car? Gone for an air bounce? At Buckaroos, you can do both, plus a whole lot more. Stop by to see all the exciting new additions to this area, including a new toddler play area, magic nuudles, monster mural, button making, face painting, and much more. And don’t forget to snap a complimentary photo at the Western Photo booth.

BELL RODEO X

Located at the heart of Stampede Park, across from the Roundup Centre, Bell rodeoX catches air with high-energy, fast-paced extreme sports competition. Check out some of the hottest BMX riders and skateboarders as they push the limits of physics on the Bell rodeoX street course and half pipe.
