Visiting Bands
Does a trombone Dixie spike your heartrate? Does at a snare-drum’s report have you marching in lockstep? Then head to… just about anywhere in Calgary! Throughout Stampede, you’re likely to catch any one of a number of local, national and international marching bands, drum corps, and show bands. They’ll be performing at venues all over the city, in the Stampede Parade, and of course on the Park.
Marching Bands at the Stampede Parade
This year, the Stampede Parade will feature more than 20 marching bands. They come from all over Calgary, Western Canada, and the world, more than 1,600 musicians and colour guards in all, to not only perform, but compete for $20,000 in prize money!
