The GMC Rangeland Derby isn’t just something you watch, it’s something you feel. When the klaxon blares, four wagons, 32 horses and 128 thundering hooves roar by with a rumble so intense it shakes 17,000 cheering fans right out of their seats and to their feet, the excitement building with every single race. And that’s just the beginning of our Evening Show.

After the chuckwagon races get your adrenaline pumping, what does The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth do for an encore? We finish the night with a bang, of course. The TransAlta Grandstand Show - Century - featuring Paul Brandt and starring The Young Canadians, caps off the night with the spectacular TransAlta Lights Up the Night fireworks— it's an extravaganza you won't want to miss.
